Sandstorm Training

Welcome to the SANDSTORM training area. Here you will find videos to help you better understand the purpose and function of SANDSTORM as well as basic principles of set-up and operation.

SANDSTORM: System Overview

A brief look at the integration and configuration of SANDSTORM: a mobile, rapid deployment proppant handling system providing unmatched storage capacity and proppant dust control. Reduces sand and silica dust on well stimulation and frac sites.

The self-standing system can be completely set up in less than three hours and has been purposely designed with computerized automation, efficiency, accuracy and safety in mind.

PART 1 – HYDRABEAR OVERVIEW

A look at the parts and functions of the HydraBear – a remote controlled, hydraulic power unit. The self-standing system can be completely set up in less than three hours and has been purposely designed with computerized automation, efficiency, accuracy and safety in mind.

PART 2 – HYDRABEAR START-UP

How to start the HydraBear and engage the remote control for moving the unit around the site.

PART 3 – INCLINE CONVEYOR

The incline VectorBelt conveyor is the first component that needs to be set-up in preparation for using the SANDSTORM system. It is aligned to feed the blender and the remaining SANDSTORM components are aligned to this conveyor.

PART 4 – HORIZONTAL CONVEYOR

This video will demonstrate how a horizontal VectorBelt integrates with the incline. Once in place, the GravityBoxes will back into the horizontal conveyor.

PART 5 – GRAVITYBOX PLACEMENT

A step by step look at backing these large units perfectly into place against the horizontal VectorBelt and preparing them for raising.

PART 6 – GRAVITYBOX RAISING

How to safely raise the GravityBoxes into their full upright position and stage them for operation.

PART 7 – GRAVITY BOX CONNECTIONS

Integrating the GravityBox with the horizontal VectorBelt through electric and hydraulic connections.
