RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and install hydraulic pumps, motors, coolers and other components.

The Trade Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing the continued development and implementation of Propell’s global trade compliance program. Focused knowledge and skills in U.S import and export regulations and strong investigative skills is required to manage trade compliance with other countries. Acting as Propell’s trade compliance representative, you will maintain an active role in assuring compliance for all import/export activities in the company, its subsidiaries and offices globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a trade compliance program.
  • Complete and continue maintenance of import & export compliance procedure manuals and system controls.
  • Define and create procedures and conduct trade compliance audits.
  • Ensure corrective action processes are in place to comply with U.S. Government regulations.
  • Actively support operational process controls through regular activity and training with Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Development and Finance keeping the company compliant with trade regulations.
  • Classify new products (Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS), Export Control Classification Number (ECCN).
  • Ensure compliance with all import/ export “special programs” ( NAFTA, TPEM, etc.).
  • Conduct country of origin & markings determination.
  • Review and report on the state of the company’s compliance effectiveness, report areas of risk to senior team, recommend solutions, and obtain guidance and/or decision support for required improvements.
  • Serve as prime contact for import/export compliance and government inquiries or notifications relating to compliance issues.
  • Stay current on U.S. import/export regulatory changes and proposed legislation.
  • Manage customs brokers and perform periodic post-entry audits against customs reports and customs broker electronic data, vendor and shipper invoice and import documentation.
  • Prepare and file all required reports as specified by government export and import compliance agencies.

An Electronics Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day electrical troubleshooting and support for equipment in production, equipment being tested, and equipment in use by customers.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and resolve electrical issues that appear during production and on the initial start-up of equipment.
  • Determine the root cause of electrical issues and find ways to mitigate them, working across teams to come up with creative solutions.
  • Find and recommend process improvements to solve electrical assembly inefficiencies during production.
  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating alternative electrical components for use in Propell equipment.
  • Work with the Customer Care team to troubleshoot and correct electrical issues experienced by customers.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar diploma or degree.
  • Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
  • Experience or knowledge of CAN, J1939, and other communication protocols.
  • Experience with various sensors such as encoders and inclinometers.
  • Some experience with hydraulics, especially electronically-controlled hydraulic valves.
  • Experience tracing wires, constructing connectors, and using a multimeter.
  • Programming knowledge, especially Ladder Logic and Structured Text, is an asset.

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with other technical experts as well as less experienced staff & customers.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays throughout North America to support field operations.
